High-load engineered structural timber panels produced with cross-oriented Scots pine strands and 100% moisture-cured MDI polyurethane resin. The cost-effective global standard for timber-frame wall bracing, roof sheathing, and structural interlocking subfloors.
OSB-3 Structural Subfloor & Sheathing Panels are high-load engineered oriented strand boards manufactured under EN 300 Class OSB/3 and OSB/4. Made from debarked pine strands cross-oriented in perpendicular layers and bonded with 100% formaldehyde-free waterproof MDI resin, they deliver superior bending strength (MOR ≥ 22 N/mm²), zero internal voids or core gaps, and severe humidity resistance for timber-frame roof sheathing, wall bracing, and subfloors.
Manufactured from debarked, fresh Scots pine logs, wood strands (80–120mm length, 0.6mm thickness) are mechanically aligned into 3 engineered layers: surface strands run longitudinally along the length for maximum bending stiffness, while core strands run perpendicularly (90° cross-ply):

Under European Standard EN 300, OSB/3 is engineered for load-bearing applications in humid conditions (Service Class 2), featuring 24h swelling ≤ 15% and bending strength ≥ 20 N/mm². OSB/4 is a heavy-duty structural board with enhanced bending elasticity (MOE ≥ 4800 N/mm² along the major axis) and swelling capped at ≤ 12%, engineered for industrial warehouse decks, I-joist web beams, and high-load commercial timber engineering. Identify the OSB grade, intended application, dimensions and edge profile in the inquiry. For another panel option, also review P5 chipboard flooring against your project specification.
Yes. 100% of our OSB/3 and OSB/4 panels are manufactured using 100% formaldehyde-free polymeric diphenylmethane diisocyanate (pMDI) polyurethane resin. The isocyanate reacts chemically with natural wood hydroxyl groups to form indestructible polyurethane covalent bonds, achieving zero added formaldehyde (NAF) and easily qualifying as exempt under US EPA TSCA Title VI and European E0 standards.
OSB-3 is typically 20% to 35% more cost-effective than exterior softwood plywood while eliminating natural knotholes, core voids, and delamination pockets. Its engineered cross-oriented pine strands provide uniform structural shear values across all directions, making it the preferred engineered wood for seismic and hurricane wall bracing.
18mm OSB/3 T&G panels are engineered for residential and commercial joist spacing up to 400mm (16 inches) center-to-center. 22mm OSB/3 T&G panels span joist centers up to 600mm (24 inches) while supporting uniform design live loads of 5.0 kN/m² and concentrated point loads ≥ 3.0 kN with zero deflection creep.
For roof sheathing, 11mm or 12mm OSB/3 spans rafter centers up to 600mm. Panels must be laid with the major axis perpendicular to rafters, leaving a 3mm expansion gap at all butt joints. Fasten with 60mm ring-shank nails at 150mm centers along perimeter edges and 300mm centers along intermediate supports.
Precision flaked pine strands (lengths 80–120mm, widths 10–25mm) are mechanically oriented into 3 layers: outer surface strands are aligned parallel to the 2440mm length (major axis), while core strands are oriented perpendicularly (minor axis). This cross-ply geometry replicates plywood's structural grain orientation while using 100% of the log fiber.
A standard 40'HQ container comfortably holds approximately 880 sheets of 18mm 4×8 ft OSB-3 packed across 16 ISPM-15 heat-treated pallets (55 sheets per pallet). Total net timber volume is approximately 47.15 m³ with a gross shipping weight of ~26.4 metric tons, fully optimizing container payload. Include the quantity for each grade, thickness and size, preferred packing and destination port. Request a quotation for your panel schedule.
Yes. Our waterproof pMDI resin and paraffin wax emulsion provide severe Service Class 2 weather resistance, allowing panels to withstand periodic rain and job-site moisture during construction framing without delaminating. For tropical export regions, panels can be treated with zinc borate additives for lifetime termite and fungal resistance. Describe the expected exposure, storage arrangements and intended service environment in your inquiry, and request the handling guidance for the proposed grade.
